Timber Garages Hand Made To Order From Regency

Timber garages are a cheaper and more attractive alternative to concrete or brick and have better natural insulation qualities.

At Regency Timber Buildings we construct all our timber garages in house, to our usual high standards using 5Th Grade Scandinavian redwood. (not the cheaper 6th or whitewood)

We manufacture single, double, triple and quadruple wooden garages.  All inhouse by our experienced team.

We do not provide garages for anyone else, when you buy from us you are buying direct from the manufacturer at the best price possible.

How Are Our Timber Garages Made?

Our walls are made from a 100mm x 38mm planed framing timbers which are double screwed together for rigidity.

We have various external cladding’s that can be applied to the walls. The claddings are nailed using galvanised nails for a long life span.

We offer 3 different thicknesses of shiplap for a traditional look, a Log lap cladding for a more contemporary look.

For a more rustic outbuilding look we have a 32mm thick tanalised treated Feather edge boarding.

Our shiplap and loglap clad buildings are hand painted with cuprinol ultimate as standard which has a choice of 6 colours.

The featheredge clad buildings are pressure treated with a tanalised preservative that is light green in colour.

The roofs are tongue and groove boarded supported with roof trusses throughout the entire roof. They come with high quality 3mm thick garage grade roof felt as standard.

The roof covering can be upgraded if required to-
Felt roof shingles
Corrugated onduline
Steel box profile roofing

All quoted timber sizes are nominal before machining finished sizes will be approx 3mm less than that quoted.

Why Buy A Timber Frame Garage?

A timber framed garage has some benefits when compared to the interlinking log cabin style and concrete garages.
The timber frame structure acts like a backbone to the structure giving strength and durability.

The log cabin type buildings don’t have this “backbone” and as such don’t have the same rigidity and wind load resistance. This is especially important on larger buildings were wind load can build up or if you want to lean heavy items against the walls.

The timber frame when clad on one side creates a cavity within the walls. The benefit of this is that the cavity can be insulated for heat and sound purposes.

When comparing timber framed to prefabricated concrete, timber is inherently warmer to the touch than concrete and as such moisture in the air is less likely to condense on the walls and ceiling as much as it can in a concrete garage.

We have been know to supply a wooden car garage to people who want to replace their concrete one with wood because they are fed up with the damp and condensation dripping on to there pride and joy even though there is nothing structurally wrong with their current building.

Benefits Of Buying A Wooden Double Garage

The main benefit of buying a wooden double garage over a single garage is you are going to be able to house a second car or motorcycle.

Most households these days own more than one car.
However what we have found is that many of our customers with only a single car use the extra space for storing all manner of things such as garden machinery, ride on mowers, bicycles, tools and all the things that they didn’t quite manage or were too heavy to fit in to the attic.

Generally speaking there will be a lot more storage space and of course an extra door opening to fit in all your extra belongings in to, not to mention the added value to your home a wooden garage will bring.

If you are concerned about security we can fit a long throw lock to wooden doors, alternatively you can opt to add up and over or electric roller doors.

We can build almost any size to your own design, the most common sizes our customers buy from us are-
16 x 16, 16 x 18, 18 x 18, 18 x 20, 20 x 20
